Dr. Hosler is a Board Certified Ophthalmologist and fellowship trained glaucoma specialist. He holds his bachelor of arts degree from the University of Pennsylvania. He later graduated from the MD/PhD program at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School, where he was awarded the Stanley S. Bergen medal of excellence.
He completed ophthalmology residency training at Penn State University School of Medicine where he served as chief resident. He received several awards during internship and residency. This was followed by glaucoma surgical fellowship training at the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary and NYU, where he conducted peer-reviewed glaucoma research with Dr. Robert Ritch and Dr. Celso Tello.
Dr. Hosler is married with 4 children. He has served as an assistant coach for the Cranford Baseball and Softball League. He currently serves as the Swimming and Lifesaving merit badge counselor for Boy Scout Troop 80 in the Patriot’s Path Counsel.
He is a lecturer in the clinical medicine course at Seton Hall University. He is also a regular lecturer for the Diabetes Empowerment Education Program through Robert Wood Johnson Barnabas Health in Rahway.
Dr. Hosler performs cataract and glaucoma surgeries at the River Drive Surgery and Laser Center, Clara Maas Hospital, and University Surgicenter. He performs Lasik and other refractive procedures at Saint Barnabas Outpatient Surgery Center in Livingston.
